Hello again world or the eight people that might be reading this, hello,
I have no idea why I used the title that I did, it just came out. So Christmas is coming up and everyone is leave. Its going to be a sad day, but a happy one as well. It's going to be quiet, which I found out I like more and more each day. But going home and showing everyone the change that has happened is much to celebrate in itself.
Going home is going to be weird for me though. People always say that home is where the heart is, right now my heart is at camp and with the people that are there. So for me to leave is like going to not home for Christmas. I've lived in Kelowna for the past few years and have mad a lot of really, really good friends. Outside of camp I'd say that Kelowna is now my home. Victoria is where my parents live and where I grew up, but Kelowna is my home. I don't really know what I'll be doing, but going home is definitely on my list of things to do. Oh and snowboarding as well. Seeing my friends again and being back at my home church is going to be awesome. Some foreigners say that we use the word awesome a little too much and eat a lot of cheese. They may be right, but who cares? We're Canadian and we're awesome
So snowboarding, I went this past Saturday...ish. I got almost one run in and then BANG! Snowboard to the face! I had to leave the mountain and go to Courtney and get some stitches. 5 in all. I've never had stitches. It's going to be a cool scar. My eye was all bloody, p.s it was by my eye and I got a black eye now, and we didn't think that driving myself to the walk-in clinic was the best idea so Amanda took me. Shes a sweety. Thank-you Amanda if you read this. We'll have to go up some time when there's powder and actually get a full run in.
So yeah, once again I come to the end and don't really know what to say to end this blog. I might just

(Place cool title here)
Well world,
It's another week and I still don't know what to talk about. There was a list of questions we were giving as suggestions so I might take a look at them. Or maybe not. I think I'll just talk.
This past week was a week of 24/7 pray. It was was pretty cool. I had the 6am - 7am shift. It was pretty hard to stay awake for some of it. One day I feel asleep and had a crazy dream of the pray room. One time I knew if I did not do something I would definitely fall asleep so I did what anyone would do to keep themselves up. I took a shower. It was great. I was able to focus. There was a lot of hurt in the room. It was hard to read sometimes all the hurt on the wall.
We had our first meeting for our missions trip this week as well. I'm so excited for it. I'd say where we are going but that's top secret. Sorry. But if you could pray that what we have in mind will work. That would be cool. So yeah, enough of me...How are you doing?

Lost and confused
Howdy everyone,
In a world where every where you go people are questioning!
One man!
One way!
His!...
Sorry about that. This past week we were in Old Testament. I know what you're thinking, "what does that have to do with OT?" For a class project we got to make a movie. It was a lot of fun, and a lot of work. Our theme was "movie trailers". As the week went on I learned a lot more then I think I would if I had just read the OT. I did not do very well on the test though. We just did the final today...not what I'm used to. Being in the trade our test were all multiple choice. Even the final. I've never been really good with remembering names of people, and exactly who did what. It's a big book. But I know that I had fun and got something out of the class.
The reason for the title is that time is flying by and people are already talking about next year. And I'm not talking about January, but after Kaleo. It's weird to think about it. I really have no plans and really don't know where God wants me. I have a few options placed before me and want to do the one that God wants me to do, but how will I know what it is?
This past weekend was Sr high retreat. It was so much fun. I was able to hang out with my boys from the summer and for the discussions we got pretty deep. It was probably my favourite weekend so far. I really wish that I would have maybe had time to study for my test, but hanging out with the guys was more important then a class test. A class is a class, but a life with God is way better then a life without.
Anyways, I've talked a little about my life, I would love to hear some feed back. How's life with you? What has God shown you lately? Maybe you could help answer my question. That would be nice.

Jr High
Sup world
So this past week was reading week. It was pretty quiet here. Only about 5 people left for the week, but a fair bit of people slept until 12 or beyond. So there was me and a few others up and doing homework. It was pretty good. I had to get it all done before Friday because of the Jr High retreat.
It was pretty cool. It felt like a long time since I counseled, but it was good to get back into it. The late bed times and early mornings I'm not really use to. I like going to be at about 10:00 maybe 10:30. Going to bed past midnight, it was a stretch for me. A really shock to the system some would say. But yeah, it was pretty cool none the less.
This week is OT. I'm looking forward to it. We already had one class of it, so cool. I think this will be my favorite class. We're doing a movie for a project. It's pretty awesome. Make a movie of the OT, cool project and a fun way of doing it too.
Well...I'm off to bed, but before I go, I'm going to leave you with this one last thought.

Hockey
So tonight was a good night. We played hockey and it was so much fun. It felt really good to run around and be active again. We've done stuff like surfing and I felt so out of shape. I know round is a shape, and I'm a little round, so does that make me in shape?
This is reading break and I'm so excited for nothing. There's been days were we've had "nothing" but there was still a meeting or a chapel or something, but this week there's nothing. I'm going to do a fair bit of reading. I never really like reading, but I think I'm starting to like it more and more. Who knew?
So it's way past my bed time. It's 11:17ish and my bed time is 10:00. Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise. I don't really know why or how, but I'm going to find out.

7:30 or 8:30?
So it's Monday morning and we're all lying in bed trying to figure out if breakfast is at 7:30 or8:30. We're going surfing today. it's going to be pretty cold, but should be lots of fun. I've never gone surfing. The waves are going to be 9M or 30 feet high.
This past week we were in class. I liked it, except for the long sitting. My back kills after about 2 days of sitting so after about 10:00 I can't really sit anymore and it's hard to focus. I don't have a lot to say about the class, but it was good.
I'm pretty hungry right now, and I'm missing breakfast. So I'm going to go eat and be a happy camper.

Another week and counting,
So we just completer out first day of our second class. I don't know if I was created to sit for long periods of time. I got a good long sleep the night before and was well rested, but as the day went on I found myself getting pretty tired. After the class ended I went up to my room and took a nap. A 2 hour nap. I Missed dinner and it was hamburgers. I LOVE hamburgers, but I do love sleep as well. I think it was well worth it, but I am hungry now.
This past week we were going to go Surfing, but due to some weather conditions we did not go. We went caving and swimming in a pool. As I got out of the pool I realized that I never actually went in the pool. Just the hot tub and sauna. It was good. We also did a ditch the girls night, or they ditched us. But we left camp, and they slept here so I think that we ditched them. We ate some steak and played some video games, and even though we ditched the girls, they are all around. We got the privileged to interview 4 Godly women and ask them their opinion of some things. It was pretty cool.
This weekend there was a woman's retreat. It was pretty good I guess. I just did homework.
This Sunday I helped with the kids program downstairs. Me and Matt M ran games. I don't think the kids understood half of them. We were laughing and having a good time, but the kids just looked confused. It was good times.
So I don't know if anyone's really reading this...Or really know if this is up...So if you read...drop me a line...that'll be cool...yeah

Time to relax
What's up people?
So this past week we were on a boat. Not just any boat, a pirate boat. It was pretty cool. We were able to climb to the top of the masts and swing around. We played some crazy games that I'll never forget, and sang some songs that I don't think I'll be able to forget. There was some pretty cool times for sharing and group bonding. I was pretty tired for most of the trip though. The beds were pretty small and I'm a very light sleeper. Probably my favorite time on the boat was quite time. There was a time for about 2 hours when there was no noise. It was so nice. It was one of the best sleeps I had.
As soon as I got back and by as soon I mean the next day around 4:30 in the afternoon I went home for Thanksgiving. It was nice to spend time at home with family and sleep in my own bed...ish. I ate so much food. I weighed myself. I gained 2 pounds in one meal. Not my record, but I still think that it was a good achievement. I got back home about a hour ago (7:30 monday night) and was just about ready to get ready for surfing. I found out that we're not going and we're doing other things instead. I'm a little bummed that we're not going surfing, but releaved at the fact that we'll have time to relax and do some home work. So stoked.
Till next time, just chill like a penguin.

Ouch!
Hello people on the Interweb,
So as I sit here in the alcove trying to remember what I just read my mind is hurting. This next class that we are taking is Hermeneutics. I'm only 2 chapters in and my mind is already like huh? I'm pretty stoked for it manly because I have no idea what it is or how it works. I have a feeling that I will learn a lot from this class. Funny side note. I once heard a English professor talk about the term "a lot". He stated that the term "a lot" actually started as a term for a piece of land. Example. Some one would by a lot to build a house on. Some how along the line we now use the term a lot to describe a large number or a great deal. Weird.
This past week was pretty cool. It was our first week in class. I'm not going to sit here and tell you I learned a great deal of new stuff, but it was a great refresher course and a great reminder. Some times I found it hard to focus. Many because my back was really starting to hurt after the second day. But the times that I was able to pay attention, I really liked. It was a hands on course which allowed us to get up and move. I really liked that. We created a little sanctuary some where on the grounds of camp and had our little alone time with God. Some times we were to read scripture and some times just pray. And some times it was a combination of both.
This next week is going to be a little different. We're going on S.A.L.T.S. I don't remember what it stands for, but basically we're going sailing for a week and some how classifying it as school. Pretty cool. I know. I have no idea what we're going to do. But I've been told that the guys rooms better be cleaner the girls or something bad will happen...dun dun dunnnnn....
I dunno what else to say right now, so I'm going to leave you with one thought.
What doesn't go good with cheese?

What have I done!
Hello Kristie (and the rest of the world),
So today as I try and figure out how to use a blog I realize how not ready I am for school. Living for almost 4 years without a computer (the odd time at a friends house to check facebook), I realize how uncomputer I really am. In a world that is almost based around computers I guess I'll just have to learn to adapt. Call me old fashion if you want, but I miss the days where you handed in an assignment by literally handing it in with your hands. I think maybe that's how the expression came forth. Oh the English language.
Well, Kaleo has officially started and we're on our way. We've already picked our churches and have gone to one Sunday. I was lucky enough to have come to the Crofton area before camp started and scoped out the churches before picking one. It made my research really easy because I went to a few of the churches. My first day at Warmland (as a Kaleo student) I was helping put away chairs at the end of the service and was then asked by a man named Phil (who works there) if I could be apart of the setting up team. Me being a guy who loves to move things said "I'd be glad to help". It was a busy first day.
Being a youth leader a for a few months before the summer going to youth for the "first time" was really easy. It was more of a "How was your summer?" "What did you do?" Then it was a "Hi I'm Bob Drinkwater...I'm doing Kaleo this year...My interests are..." Yeah, I didn't have to do that. How ever this year I don't have the same group. Well I do in the fact that I have the same age group (grade 7), but as humans we aren't the same age for more then a year. So with that being said, I have new kids, but they all know me anyways. So for youth, also known as "The Branch", we played some games, beat up the kids a little, and Stevie gave a little talk. All in all it was a good night. Even though, we as Kaleos were all so tired, I think it was because we HIKED A MOUNTAIN, we still some how found the energy to play and laugh and have fun with the kids. The livelihood of it all could have only been the energy from God and from theses kids. I am super stoked for this year and the plans the Big Guy in the Sky has for us all.
